Claire 21st September 2020

We have known John and Lynn for over 20 years - since we started Line Dancing. Right from the start we all enjoyed learning the dances, often a new one each week, meeting with other similarly enthusiastic people and making many firm friendships. The teaching lessons led to regular social dancing evenings and then weekends away with John, Lynn and many other dancers at various venues around the Country. A number of these weekends were spent at Potters and Winterton, both in Norfolk, where many daytime hours were spent visiting numerous zoos, one of Lynn's favourite pastimes. A feature of our Winterton weekends also being a BBQ amongst the sand dunes. Meals out were also another Lynn favourite, especially if the desserts available were particularly sweet and "gooy". Evening social dancing often had a theme with Lynn joining in the spirit of things by dressing up appropriately. Over a period of years these weekend events became extended with additional days away just with John and Lynn and our other two close friends, leaving us with fond memories. We also enjoyed other trips taking Lynn to meet up with John during his mammoth walk round Britain, one being in the Midlands (getting as far away from the coast as possible!) which obviously had to include a day trip round the local Zoo! Of recent times we have continued to enjoy Lynn's good company and admired her determination to keep dancing, not letting her condition hold her back any more than necessary. Our last "weekend away" being as recent as New Year 2020 which we spent in Northampton. Unfortunately we have not been able to see Lynn so much in the last few months due to the Covid restrictions. We will miss her lovely smile which was still evident when we last saw her on her Birthday in March. Brian and Sheila Rowe
